In 2018, the East coast struggled with one of the most difficult years for grape growing we have ever seen. Most of us would like to put it behind us as quickly as we can, but what we found was that through diligent vineyard skill and heavy bleeding of the fruit as it entered the winery, we were able to pull off some remarkable wines.
The 2018 Duet--which is 64% Merlot and 36% Petit Verdot -- was actually grown in our estate Cadenza Vineyard in Brogue. The wine was fermented in tanks and aged in new French oak barrels for fourteen months.
