Red Lion Red is a smooth, fruity wine with a light sweetness about it similar to a Lambrusco. This is a very casual wine—kind of a brother to our Brogue Blush--and goes well with everything from pizza and pasta to hamburgers. We make this wine with a blend of French hybrid varieties, and the blend changes every year. Most years the wine contains DeChaunac and Chancellor (like this one), but we have been known to blend in everything from Marechal Foch to Noiret to Leon Millot to Chambourcin. If you're finding that some wines are too sweet to go with dinner from your club selections, Red Lion Red would be a great wine to try!
