Sunset Sangria

1 bottle of Chambourcin or dry red wine
2 tbs. finely shredded lime peel
1 cup lime juice
3/4 cup sugar
1 nectarine, sliced

In 1 quart glass measuring cup, combine lime peel, lime juice and sugar. Add water to equal 4 cups. Stir to dissolve sugar. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours.

To serve, put ice in large wine glass or 6 oz. tumbler. Add 1/3 cup of lime mixture. Pouring along side of glass, slowly fill with wine. Add nectarine slice to glass.
